Garcinia forbesii (Mundar) is a type of mangosteen that occurs in natural forests and is also being cultivated in gardens. Mangosteen (Garcinia mangostana) itself has the nickname “Queen of fruits” because it is one of the best and most popular tropical fruits in the world, and has a delicious taste.
One species of the genus Garcinia is Garcinia forbesii. Garcinia forbesii is a mangosteen with red skin, the Banjar-South Kalimantan people call it Mundar. Mundar is a relative of the mangosteen with fruit that is smaller than the mangosteen, the shape of the fruit is round, the skin is red and thin with white fruit content with a sweet and sour taste.
