Description
Pinanga Aristata, A holy grail species of Pinanga from the dense understory, incredible coloration on the new leaves and nice mottling on the rest. Smaller palm that draws a lot of attention in the garden.
A small, lightly clustering palm from rainforests on Borneo with beautifully mottled, pinnate or entire leaves that are unfolding in a nice purplish tone. Even though it adapts well to cultivation in the tropics, it is very rarely seen, mosty because seeds are difficult to come by. It enjoys a moist spot in the garden under established canopy.
Small palm of the undergrowth, mottled leaves, usually pinnate, however, there is a form with simple leaves. Although often a clustering palm, it is usually single stemmed, with small basal suckers. New leaves have a distinctive reddish or purplish tinge
