Alocasia boa is a rare species that has a similar appearance to another alocasia family, namely Lauterbachiana. Initially this plant was included in the Xenophya group and then transferred to the Alocasia group.

Having long, green stems, the wavy leaves of this alocasia are streaked with stripes. Alocasia boa has leaves with a serrated shape. Makes the appearance of the Alocasia boa more attractive when placed in a pot.
