Araceae

Araceae is a family of monocot flowering plants or in Indonesia as the taro family. Plants of the Araceae family are sometimes known as the arum family, and members of it are often referred to as aroids.
Araceae has more than 100 genera (genus) and 3700 species that are most diverse in the tropics of the new world, also distributed in the tropics of the old world and northern temperate regions.
Several derivatives from Araceae, especially in the genera Anthurium, Alocasia, Aglaonema, Caladium and others, have become very popular in the world of ornamental plants.
